Personalised Wedding Stationery – Silver Theme

Wedding Stationery with a silver colour theme

Wedding invitation scrolls  are very popular but we also make card style invitations in many designs and colour schemes. Many of our designs are personalised with the names of the bride and groom and their wedding date. Purple has been extremely popular this year. I wonder if it will change next year. I have invitations booked for 2013 in aqua, red & gold. I’m wondering if the purple trend will continue.

This week we would like to showcase a silver theme.

Scroll Wedding Invitations part 2

Scroll Wedding Invitations

I would like to showcase some more of my Wedding Scroll Invitation designs.

Wedding Scroll Invitation – Imogen

This is one of my latest designs and a personal favourite of mine.

I love anything that sparkles and this really does sparkle.

Wedding Scroll Invitation – Imogen in Navy and White

This beautiful photograph of Imogen Wedding Invitation Scroll was photographed by Yvonne at White Gold Images

I had the pleasure to meet Yvonne in February when she came up north for a photo shoot.

I met her  through Twitter. She came up with Joyce from www.bridesandbeauty.co.uk ( a wonderful make up artist)

I was telling Yvonne how I struggle with photographs. I can’t catch the details.

Well, that’s why she is a photographer and I’m not! She has a gift, sadly I don’t posses.

She gave me some tips. I did try, but really I thought, ‘leave it to the experts’

Yvonne recently took some photographs for me that will be featured for a brochure.

It’s for Double Tree Hilton in Chester. www.doubletree.hilton.co.uk/chester

I can’t wait to see the pics and maybe one day I’ll get to meet the gorgeous

Marco Pierre White who has a restaurant there.

She also blogged the scrolls on her own site. She wrote some very kind words indeed.

Here’s what she wrote ……….

Yvonne has really captured the detail in this photo.

Julie x

It’s July already!

I’m having a very busy month.

I’ve been asked by Double Tree Hilton Hotel Chester to contribute to their blog on a regular basis. How cool is that?

I’ve had 3 products featured this month in Wedding Ideas Magazine.

It’s a very busy time for me for wedding seating plans and matching accessories. Have you ordered yours yet?

Wedding seating plans should always be provisionally booked at least 3 – 6 months before your wedding. Many of the good stationers get booked up months in advance. It’s advisable to enquire early to avoid disappointment. Many couples leave this until 4 weeks before a wedding, only to find it’s too late. I never start a table plan until 4 weeks before a wedding but, I do have wedding seating plans booked in months before.

I rarely take on a last minute table plans as I’m usually booked. Oh, and I hate saying no, sorry I can’t!

This month I’ve made a baby blue butterfly wedding seating plan with matching table cards.

Wedding Seating Plan – blue butterflies.

I love making wedding seating plans. They take almost a full day to print and assemble. If people think they are knocked up in 30 mins, believe me they are not!

The most important part for me is the detail. Butterflies are made so the wings stand up. There is a beautiful swarovski crystal trail. Trimmed with beautiful matching satin ribbon.

Butterfly table plans can be made in 50 colourways.

Baby Blue Butterfly Wedding Seating Plan

Wedding Table Name Cards – blue butterflies

Table names with an Italian theme. Regions in Italy. I lived there many years ago so I recognise the areas.

These were made with the Italian spellings, not English.

Toscana = Tuscany. Sardegna = Sardinia. Sicilia = Silcily etc

Wedding Table Names – blue butterflies

All made to made to match the wedding table plan in baby blue and pearl ivory.

Wedding Seating Plan – silver diamonte hearts and red satin ribbon.

This is one of my favourite designs. I just love sparkle.

This is so blingy. Guests names are printed on a white pearlescent card mounted on red.

Red does seem to be the new in colour for 2012 and 2013

Order of Service – silver diamonte hearts and red satin ribbon

Wedding Seating Plan – pink bows and crystals

I love pink!

Printed on a white pearlescent card, mounted on baby pink. Trimmed with baby pink tailored bows and crystals. Simple but stylish!

I loved making this one.

Pink is one of my favourite colours. Pink isn’t the most popular colour for weddings despite what people may think. This table plan can be made in any colour of your choice.

Wedding Table Names – pink bows and crystals

Wedding Seating Plan – turquoise and silver butterflies

The colour scheme for this wedding is turquoise and silver. Butterflies are layered so when the wings are lifted, there is a silver butterfly underneath. Turquoise is another favourite colour of mine.

It’s mid July, I’m not finished yet.

I still have a cadbury’s purple butterfly table plan, table cards, place cards, menus, guest book and wedding post box.

Wine & fuchsia double heart table plan, table cards and place cards.

Black and white butterfly table plan.

Photographs to follow.

Butterflies still seem to be the most popular theme for weddings.

Wedding Seating Plans

Wedding Seating Plans

Black Silver Wedding Seating Plan

I love making wedding seating plans, but they cause so much hassle for the bride. I think planning a wedding goes pretty smoothly, because most couples have an idea of what they want for their special day. The table plan throws everything out the window. Trying to seat realatives that don’t get on etc. I’ve listened to so many stories over the years. It’s seems to be the biggest headache for the couple.

I always recommend that it’s made 4 weeks before a wedding, not before.  It can change days before a wedding. I make a lot of seating plans and 99% of the time it will change.

When should I order a Wedding Seating Plan?

Book your seating plan early but don’t insist it’s made 3 months before  your day. Believe me, I’ve made so many, only to get a panic phone call that it’s all changed. It seems like a lot of stress from the guests that the couple could do without. I think it’s fine if there is someone on the table plan but they have backed out. Leave them on. If someone has been added last minute I will always change it. There’s nothing worse than going to a table plan to find you are not on it.

It’s a bit like a map. I think it’s why so many grooms like them. It tells you what table you are on, not the seat. Place cards tell you where you actually sit.

Why do I need a Wedding Seating Plan?

Table plans are must. It’s information for your guests. Imagine if you didn’t have a seating plan. It would be a bit like wandering round McDonalds  trying to find a seats! You will get odd seats etc.  You don’t want guests wandering around a room when you are trying to get on with speeches etc.

Personalised Poem for my wife to be

This story did make me smile.

One Sunday afternoon in February 2011 I had a call from a groom. It was six days before his wedding! He’d seen the scrolls advertised in the media. I was making Valentine Scrolls to raise money for The Blue Lamp Foundation Charity. He asked if I could make the wife to be poem instead. He wanted something a little different for his bride to be. I said yes, as long as I could raise the money, I would make any type of scroll.

There wasn’t much time to get it proofed, made and posted. He chose the colours and design, he sent me a lovely poem and message. I made it and had it sent to his parents house. He mailed to say it had arrived quickly and was really pleased. His words, “she’ll love it”.

A couple of weeks later I had a call from a lady. She asked me if I’d made poem scroll for her? As I had made some anonymous valentine scrolls I didn’t really want to say. I asked her to describe what she had received. As soon as she told me the colour and design,  I knew who it was.

The story goes……………..she was so touched by what he had done, she wanted it framed. She went out with her friend to buy a frame. He worked away, so it was a surprise for when he got home. She bought her frame, took the poem out of the box, went into the kitchen to get something. When she went back to get the poem, it had gone! Her dog was sitting in the corner eating it! Everything else was ok. The box and the band were intact, just the poem had been scoffed by the dog. She panicked because she didn’t know where he had bought it. Her friend by chance looked inside the lid, she saw my details (I always have my name on my products) panic over. She was able to ring me. I printed her the poem twice, one for the frame and one to go back inside the box. The poem scroll  was going inside her Wedding Keepsake Box. I told her to tell him she had rang me for another copy. He was none the wiser. I made sure it arrived before he got back. She sent me a lovely thank you. Still makes me smile when I think about it.
